At The Adoptable Lens Project, we believe every shelter pet deserves more than just a second chance They deserve to be truly seen

If you are fostering a dog or part of a rescue with a pup still waiting for their moment… this is for you.

So many incredible dogs are overlooked simply because their photos do not show who they truly are. Shelter environments can be loud, overwhelming, and not always the best place to capture a dog’s personality. And that matters more than people realize.

That is where The Adoptable Lens Project comes in.

Through bright, clean, distraction free portraits, the focus stays exactly where it should be… on the dog. Their eyes. Their expression. Their personality. These images are designed to stop the scroll, create connection, and help the right person see them.

Every session is donated, with the goal of giving rescue, shelter, and foster dogs the visibility they deserve.

Meet the Photographer

Hi, I’m Maxine 🐾

Pet photographer and the heart behind The Adoptable Lens Project.

I created this project because I believe every rescue dog deserves to be truly seen. Not just a quick intake photo taken in a stressful moment, but an image that captures who they really are.

Using bright, bold backdrops and a calm, dog led approach, I create portraits that let each dog’s personality shine through. Because sometimes, all it takes is the right photo for someone to say

“that’s my dog.”

Second chances start with a photo!

Why It Matters

First impressions matter and in the rescue world, they can mean everything.

Better photos lead to faster adoptions and more attention from potential families.

We show the heart behind the eyes helping people fall in love before they even meet.
